Power 88.3's BLOOM with A Beautiful Me took place on Friday, March 2. Over 750 attendees filled McMorran Theatre in Port Huron, along with 40 volunteers and two national musical artists for it's 6th Year!
We are grateful for the abundance of business & individual sponsors. Along with skits and dance, peer to peer stories were shared their #Warrior stories. Even Warriors get knocked down sometimes, but they ALWAYS get back up AND keep fighting! Warriors DON'T FIGHT ALONE!
"Power 88.3's BLOOM with A Beautiful Me is important to me because having this event can change young girls' lives, that's the way I look at it anyway. When girls step into this event, they feel safe, they feel calm, and they feel Jesus. This event lets girls learn important lessons. They learn that they are not alone because there are hundreds of girls alongside them. BLOOM changes perspectives, changes your mood, and changes really everything in a positive and impactful way."
"I want to say how much of an impact Bloom has been to me. The first time I went, I was in a bad relationship, and so I didn't really want to be at that event. When I was there, your topic really touched base on relationships, and when Moriah Peters talked of her experiences, it made me see how badly mine was affecting everyone I loved. That Easter was when I went back to God and got out of that relationship. This year I went with my mom and my sister again, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Hearing what God has to say on beauty, and about us, His creations, was amazing. You have touched so many lives through this event, and I am so happy that you touched mine. Thank you so much!"
